Oh, hey!

May 18, 2010

I am officially terrible at keeping a blog. But I’m going to try harder. The past couple months have been crazy with the huz putting a lot of time into the new band and their first show, and me putting a lot of time into my photo’s and paintings. I had my first show last Friday at Redtree and it was just grand! Thanks so much to all my loves that came out and supported me! Here are a few pictures from my adventures over the last month or so.

Zach’s senior pics!

Welcoming baby Camille into the (extended) family! Love her!

adventuring around Spring Grove Cemetery.

letting cute little guys make me giggle.

and lots of other fun things. Hope you’re having a super week!!

new paintings/inspiration

February 26, 2010

Hello! It’s been a long while since my first post. The bank world has been stripping me of all inspiration to do anything! Ugh! I’m on a mission to drink up every pretty and inspiring thing during this 3 day weekend that I’ve given myself! First off, I have 3 new paintings for sale on the etsy and the storenvy that I’m pretty pumped about. Painting is like therapy for me. I’ve never had any training and I don’t know ANY technicalities or anything, but I really love it and hope that my stuff can inspire someone here and there. Here are the 2 I’m really happy about

you like? I paint a lot of hearts. I don’t know why. I just love the shape and the meaning, I guess!

I found a new blog today that I’m loving! Any place I can find new recipes that use organic, good for you stuff  is superb in my book! I’ve become increasingly more aware of and interested in what’s going in and on my body the past few years, and I’m always excited to find new ways to learn about it! It’s really inspiring to me. Check it out!

can we talk about garden gnomes for a sec? The huz and I are totally obsessed with them. So much so that we’ve even talked about getting little gnome tattoos one day. I mean, how can you not love this jolly little guy?

If garden gnomes were alive, they’d be happy like fatties who sit on your lap and tell you glorious tales of the olden days. And they would smell like sugar cookies and dirt. And they’d probably always be smoking a pipe. I just love them.

Well, I’m off to find some pretty things! Have a wondrous day!!

5 things I love this week

January 18, 2010

I thought it fitting for my first post to be the beloved “things I love” post. So I’m just going to jump right into it! Here are my five fave things this week!

THIS super cute holga that I spotted on elsie cake’s blog. Why is she so cool?

The gloriously frothy chai that I’m drinking right now at Taza in Clifton.  Fair trade AND super delish? I’m in.

these adorable tights from anthropologie. I don’t think I can live without them for very long!!

I’ve been obsessing over this terrarium for several months. And the sweet garden gnome next to it!

And last but not least….

New adventures! My hubby and I are so pumped to be starting our new stores this year, learning how to run them and hoping it grows and turns into something big! If nothing else, it is an awesome creative outlet for us and another way to grow and challenge ourselves!

Have a marvelous Monday!

love, Lanna
